“A New Adventure: My Photography Retreats in Umbria”

I’m really pleased to share something I’ve been working on for quite a while: my new website FotoUmbria.com, home of my photography retreats in Umbria, Italy.
These retreats are designed for beginner and intermediate photographers who want to take their camera off automatic, develop their skills, and enjoy the slower rhythm of Italian country life. Guests stay at Casa Susanne, a 17th-century farmhouse in the Umbrian hills, and from there we head out each day to explore villages, landscapes, markets, and other off-the-beaten-track locations.
It isn’t a classroom course — it’s hands-on, relaxed, and very personal. With a maximum of four guests (ideally just two), there’s plenty of time for one-to-one guidance, whether you want to master exposure, composition, or post-processing. We also make sure there’s time to enjoy authentic Umbrian food, wine, and culture — everything from long lunches in trattorias to evenings making pizza in a wood-fired oven.
The first retreats are now open for booking, and you can find all the details at FotoUmbria.com.
If you’ve ever wanted to grow your photography skills while immersing yourself in one of Italy’s most beautiful regions, I’d love you to join me there.
