Your post hit close to home because I’ve been there more times than I’d like to admit. A few years ago I was giving a presentation to a small team and, halfway through, I realized I’d completely forgotten the name of a key client I was supposed to mention. My face flushed, and I could feel everyone’s eyes on me, waiting for me to recover. I stumbled through an awkward pause, tried to laugh it off, and then managed to pull the right name out of thin air—only after a painfully long second.
